David & Laura | Muhlhauser Barn | Cincinnati Wedding Photographer
This is one blog post I have been anticipating for a long time (and so have many others). You might want to settle in…this will be a long (and fabulous) one.
Laura is an artist and David was a teacher at a private school when they met (David’s since moved on to a job in finance). They were engaged in the Monet gallery at the Chicago Art Institute (Laura’s favorite part of the museum). How romantic is that?? I’m so excited to share the images from this beautiful wedding day! For a July wedding, we could not have asked for any better weather! It was so pleasant all day long- almost felt like an early fall! ThankyouJesus.
Laura and David were a dream to shoot (duh- look at them!) and to work with. I couldn’t imagine better clients and it’s been awesome getting to know them as friends! Loved the rustic/vintage elegance of their wedding day!
I loved all of Laura’s beautiful details. She made her bouquet herself and the brooch pinned to the stem is from David’s grandmother (who couldn’t attend). Such a sweet tribute.
You just can’t script these moments!
First look! They’re too cute.
Love this classic image of Laura & David. Thanks to Farmer Bill for the use of his property.
You’d think an 18 person wedding party would be something akin to a nightmare for a wedding photographer. Nope. Not a chance. They were all so fun and cooperative! Truly made my job easier.
Laura and her girls. Loved their pinks! So lovely for a summer wedding.
This shot was a special request from Laura. Too fun!
The ring-bearer and flowergirl? A study in contrasts.
I’m such a sucker for the emotional moments on a wedding day. So sweet.
It was so sweet that David’s grandparents could be there via Skype. Laura & David made sure to stop and send their love.
I love to take some time soon after the ceremony to capture some images of the newlyweds as they celebrate the freshness of that new title.
Helloooo, Audrey Hep…I mean Laura!
And now…time for the PARTYYYY!! Loved this reception and the delicious BBQ spread catered by Lother’s Catering (I am craving their amazing mac and cheese right this minute. SO good). Laura made the garlands herself and picked the wildflowers that graced the barn the morning of the wedding along with her bridesmaids. It made for a sweet vintage elegance that perfectly reflected her personality.
Enter the CAKES! Laura’s mom made these delicious cakes herself and they pretty much made blew me away. The frosting gave a whole new meaning to “buttercream”. Emphasis on the butter. Wow. Melt in your mouth.
Yay for a popcorn bar! Amazing. All from Patty’s Old-Fashioned Popcorn right here in Cincinnati!
Love the first dance. Stating the obvious here, but they are just precious.
These kids know how to have fun!
And a parting shot…
Thank you, David & Laura for allowing me to be part of your beautiful day! It was a complete honor and I wish you all the joy in the world in your life TOGETHER!
