Welcome to Vanessa Weddings‘ blog!  This has been a long time coming and after much trial and error and brainstorming (and patience from my awesome designers/developers), here we are!! Please be patient as we work out the kinks and refine things.

As promised, I have a stellar giveaway to start things off with a bang.  I love giving things away so make sure you check back regularly. You never know what fun stuff you might win! ;)

Drum-roll please…

fujifilmjpg

TA DAAAAAA!!! Fujifilm Instax Mini 7s (one package of film is included)

If you’ve ever used one of these, you’ll know they are SO much fun! I’ve been to weddings where these were used as the guest book- every guest took pictures of themselves with these cameras then placed them on a scrapbook page with a note to the bride and groom- such a great idea! They’re great for everyday fun images and a different perspective at your next party or event.

To enter, just comment with an idea of how YOU might like to use this camera and what you might do with the cool little prints. Then, head over to the Vanessa Weddings Facebook page and “like” us for notice of future posts and giveaways!  Feel free to share this blog with your friends & family.

Contest ends at 12:00 midnight EST on Monday, February 18th, 2013. One entry per person please!

P.s. This giveaway is in no way sponsored by Fujifilm. They don’t even know I’m doing this. :)

P.p.s. There may or may not be chocolate thrown in for the winner. Because I’m just sweet like that.

Thank you for your support and encouragement!

Congrats! Lovely website, Vanessa! Love the galleries you have up; such talent!
As for your cute giveaway, wonderful way to jump start the website traffic!

And to what I would used the fancy little camera for: My husband and I are moving to Asia to teach English this summer, and if I had a cute little Instax Mini, we could take pictures of our adventures and then mail them back to friends and family like mini postcards! A fun and personal way to say “hi!”

I hope you and yours have a wonderful Valentine’s Day! :)

This would be SO much fun to own!! I’ve wanted a Polaroid camera for a while! I’ve always wanted one if I ever went on a cross Country road trip to take pictures and put them in a “smash book”. That’s how I would use this camera! :)

Since childhood, I have been known as the girl who takes pictures of gravel roads and overexposed pictures. Until the invention of the camera phone, I have never had much luck with cameras at all. So if I were to win this camera, I would use it to (hopefully) get those pictures of family, friends, and locations I have wanted to take for *so* many years! It would clear my name from being “gravel girl” while having fun creating memories…also, that is an ADORABLE camera!

The fact that it includes instant gratification is AWESOME as well. ;)

Ive wanted a polaroid for so long! If take pictures with friends, events, the marvelous nature and scenery of my beautiful town, and pictures of all the places I visit. If I won it, I would do the photo a day project and stick them on my wall or bulletin board. I never end up printing the photos I take with my digital camera so it would be awesome to win this!
Thanks a ton for this giveaway. It’s truly the best giveaway idea ever! So excited!

Hummm….what would I use that cute camera for? Or it’s prints? I could make photo books, modpodge coasters, lots of fun things. Would be perfect for capturing everyday and vacation memories in a fun unique way. Thanks for doing this!

And btw, FujiFilm should get on the ball. They ought to know who you are! What gives?! ;-D

I am great at taking pics of my kids (meaning I take them often, not that I necessarily take them well), but I rarely print or organize them. I would use this in the hopes that I would actually do something with my printed pictures!

I remember my first experience with a Polaroid camera. It was a pig roast at our church and they had someone there taking all the kids pictures. I thought nothing of it until I saw my picture appear on this card as if by magic. Needless to say, I was hooked. The idea of instantly getting to see you picture fascinated me. I kept that picture for a long time, I might even still have it in a box somewhere. Ever since that day I’ve wanted a camera like that of my own. One idea I have for it would be to use it at some of the community outreach things my church does and take pictures of the children. Who knows, maybe I would be able to bring them as much enjoyment as I had when I got to see my picture magically appear before my very eyes. :)
Another idea is that I’m working on having a family of my own and this would make for a pretty cool memory maker… Or rather a memory recorder.

    Blessings to you my friend.

I really don’t have anything creative to say about your giveaway; except, as a new wife, I am still in the process of decorating my home. This camera would be perfect to capture date nights; and then I would clothespin the images to a string over our bed. I like the vintage appeal this has…

Since Dan and I are in school and are doing lots of artsy work, I would probably use the camera to create or capture pieces of art. There are alot of things/ideas that i see and want to take pictures of and don’t because I don’t have a camera. Plus, we do not have a lot of pics of us together so it would be fun to have something like that to capture our pure awesomeness. :)

Hi there! It’s exciting that you have a blog!! Congrats!
How would I use that awesome camera? Hmmm…
Photo projects with the kiddos I nanny and babysit for (scavenger hunts, school projects, etc.), on mission trips where you want to be able to instantly share photos with those you’re serving– especially at times when you’re not sure you’re going to see those people again or if they don’t have email or Facebook, at the two weddings I’m in this summer, or my wedding someday (love the guest book idea!!). That’s all I can think of for now. :)

If I had this fun camera – I’d do fun photo walks with my 3 year old so she could have instant gratification on her already crazy good pictures! I wish that someone would have fostered a creative way to express myself when I was younger. Who knows what the next generation will have in store for us if we just provide them with some basic tools!

It would be great to be able to have instant mini prints of them and they would love the instant gratification of having instant prints. The little prints would be a great addition to my “Smash” scrapbooking as I document the life of Cindy. In addition, we’ve got two weddings this year and this would be great to create a digital guest book for the kids.

I spend my whole summer in the mountains of NC working at a camp where kids who have parents in prison and they all come to the camp for free, we don’t have much at the camp but we give them love but must importantly share with them the wonderful and awesome news of the gospel with them. I would love to capture the pure joy on their faces as they enjoy being kids and let their troubles from their life are put behind them for a week. And to be able to print them out and frame them right away for the camp wall!!!

I’d use the camera for taking pictures of Mac and caregivers at the hospital: so we can document names with the faces immediately and he can have their picture with their signature in his Hospital Journal.

Plus the camera is a great size for carrying in the massive amount if stuff I carry. I don’t have a P&S, and a bug camera isn’t something I can just pack in the trach bag.
